AEi Announces the Delivery of Multiple CMAT Platforms to a Major European Tier One Supplier of Automotive Cameras for Assembly and Test of Forward Facing Stereoscopic ADAS Systems

Wilmington, MA – February 20, 2014

AEi announced that it has shipped multiple production CMAT systems to a major European Tier one camera manufacturer to build and test forward facing stereoscopic cameras.

Forward facing driver assist systems will be used to help drivers with Auto Emergency Breaking systems (AEB), Lane departure warning, and adaptive suspension control.  Stereoscopic cameras help to map a 3-D image of what is head on the road and provides information that the car can decide whether to key on lane markings or the car in front and does a better job of detecting and traffic that darts across the front of the car and/or pedestrians.  “The boresight correction capability and the micron alignment accuracy of the CMAT Modular platform are key features essential for building Stereoscopic cameras”, said George Rose, Director of Product Strategy at AEi.Stereo camera 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class  He added, “AEi’s vast experience with the design of systems that build computational cameras, not just for the lab, but in a production environment, is a key enabler for stereoscopic ADAS technology to come to the automotive market at the lowest cost possible with the highest quality and performance.”
