COMPLETES DELIVERY OF PRECISION AUTOMATION STATIONS FOR CELL PHONE
CAMERA MODULES
Active Alignment Systems Provide Higher-Precision Assemblies
Wilmington, MA – February 2, 2006– Automation Engineering
Incorporated (AEi), a leading supplier of high precision automation
systems, announced that it has recently completed a significant contract
to deliver over 30 precision alignment and test stations to China for
manufacturing cell phone camera modules. Under this contract, AEi provided
customized manufacturing stations to automate the alignment operations
for key optics and electronics components as well as full functional
test of the completed camera modules. The manufacturing stations supplied
by AEi were installed by AEi at the customer’s manufacturing facilities
in mainland China after fundamental process refinement and validation
at AEi facilities in the United States.

vision and other active feedback during assembly and test operations

This is especially important as product components become progressively
