FLEXAUTO™ VERSION 6.0 TO START SHIPPING 60 DAYS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE
Newest Version of Open-Architecture FlexAuto™ Software for Integrated Machine Vision, Motion Control, and Graphical User Interface Functions to Ship July 15, 2003
Wilmington, Massachusetts – June 20, 2003 Automation Engineering Incorporated (AEi), a leading supplier of machine vision and motion control technology for flexible automation, today announced that they expected to be shipping the latest Version 6.0 of the FlexAuto™ software to integrate machine vision, motion control, and operator interface functions two months early.

Key new features and enhancements include expanded support for both the Adept Hexsight® and the Cognex PatMax® geometric pattern teach and find technologies, enhanced image acquisition control functionality for both analog and digital image capture boards and cameras, added support for Galil and Acroloop motion control hardware, and extensions to the ability for FlexAuto™ applications to directly call custom and third party Windows software libraries from within the FlexAuto™ process control environment. These and other features are expected to maintain FlexAuto™ as the leading approach for machine vision, motion control, and operator interface for flexible automation systems.”
