FLEX 1000-PH RECEIVES CE CERTIFICATION
AEi’s Standard Multiprocess Assembly and Test Platform Passes Comprehensive Certification Testing
Wilmington, Massachusetts – April 18, 2003 Automation Engineering Incorporated (AEi) announced today that it’s FLEX1000-PH flexible automation platform has passed the requirements for CE certification.
“The certification process went through fairly smoothly and quickly since we designed this platform with the experience of implementing many similar systems for the photonics and other precision industries,” said Dan Tamasanis, AEi Lead Project Engineer. “The FLEX 1000-PH assembly and test platform passed the CE Heavy Industrial standard for all AEi and third party standard components and subsystems as well as the CE Laboratory standard for a range of third party custom instrumentation equipment optionally available with the platform.”
“It is important to our customers that our automation equipment conform to CE and other standards, such as NFPA-79, NEC, and UL-508A,” adds Andre By, AEi’s Chief Technology Officer. “It gives our customers the confidence that they are purchasing well designed systems that they don’t have to worry about obtaining government agency approvals to operate.”
