CMAT X STATION SUPPORTS FIVE DEGREE OF FREEDOM ALIGNMENT FOR HIGH VOLUME PRODUCTION OF ULTRA SMALL FORMAT CAMERA MODULES
Wilmington, MA -- January 20, 2009 -- Automation Engineering Incorporated (AEi), a global supplier of high-precision, flexible automation systems, announces the availability of its CMAT X flexible automation platform for manufacturing ultra small format digital camera modules. The new precision automation platform utilizes AEi?s industry-leading five degree of freedom active alignment for significantly improved manufacturing yield and camera imaging performance, while also providing highly automated material handling for maximum production throughput.

AEi's CMAT X stations are available now. Designed and built to order by AEi using a high degree of modularity, specific unit pricing is determined by manufacturing functions and features required by the customer-specific camera module packaging requirements and the number of units ordered, among other factors.
