Products & Platforms: Vision Guided Laser Tool (FlexLase)

The FlexLase station uses configurable machine vision and motion control to implement precision laser welding, laser drilling, laser cutting and laser marking. Based on AEi’s FlexAuto control platform, FlexLase allows end-user staff to easily define new or modified laser paths and patterns without the need for formal training or experience with programming. This can greatly reduce setup time for new products and applications that require laser processing. The FlexLase station also performs more accurate laser processing by using machine vision to adjust laser paths automatically to compensate for dimensional variations from part to part.
